Photo of the Week: Think Positive!

According to Buddha, “We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.” I might disagree with many of his teachings, but I have to agree with him on this. Our thoughts, positive or negative, dictate our actions. In addition, the way we think determines whether we will succeed or fail.

I consider myself a thinker, and I try to anticipate things before they occur. I recently read that is actually one of the “6 Habits of True Strategic Thinkers.” Read more to improve your thinking skills and increase your opportunities. Wouldn’t the world be a better place if more people started to think positively?

  1. Agree! We can’t help but be guided in action by our thoughts. Changing the way we think (negative to positive) can be a challenge, but worth the effort if you consider the results!

      Ms. Gum,

I couldn’t agree with you more, and your recent post emphasized it! “Where’s The Justice…in NEW!” demonstrated the impact that your way of thinking has had on your actions. You are not alone in your thinking, and retailers depend on it. I thoroughly enjoyed your post, and I look forward to sharing and communicating with you.

  2. Susan Cooper says:

Yep, This reminds me of a saying; “garbage in garbage out”. If we think bad things, bad thoughts or of negative outcomes, they are very likely to happen which helps perpetuates a vicious cycle. πŸ™‚

      Ms. Cooper,

Thank you for your comment. I couldn’t agree with you more! I heard that saying as a child, and try to teach it to our youth today. It is a powerful saying that some people still have not learned. As a result, negativity is more acceptable than positivity. I am grateful that I have not allowed the pessimists to dictate my actions.

      Mr. Butler,

Thank you for your feedback. We share similar backgrounds and visions, and I look forward to sharing with you more often. I love your blog! Keep up the great work!

  4. All being negative does is make more negative. Who wants to live like that? I spend most of my day laughing and that’s the way I like it. πŸ™‚

    • cakas38 says:

      Ms. Yearwood,

Yes, indeed! I challenge myself to find something to laugh at every day! It usually comes easily because I try to find the positive in everything! I appreciate your feedback. I think your blog is excellent, and I look forward to sharing more with you.

  5. I completely agree, our thoughts are material for sure. It is so difficult to admit this, but it is the truth.

      Ms. Frewer,

Yes, transparency would help a lot of us. Thanks for your comment. I look forward to communicating with you more in the future.

  6. Bindhurani says:

Thoughts are flowing never ending. It needs a conscious effort to be positive. Thanks for the link. It is an interesting read.

    • cakas38 says:

      Ms. Bindhurani,

For some people, negativity is a way of life. For others, treading down that path hinders our souls. We quickly get back on track. I appreciate your feedback, and I look forward to sharing more with you.

  7. Jeri says:

For various reasons, I tend to be a negative thinker. At least I’m aware of the tendency, but there are times when I struggle and let it get the best of me.

    • cakas38 says:

      Ms. Jeri,

I know some people who are negative, and it typically can be traced to their environments. I am not sure if the same thing applies to you, but it is great that you are aware of its effect on you. Acknowledging it is the first step, and making a conscious effort to change your mentality will help you. Thank you for your comment, and I look forward to sharing more with you.
