Trust God Through Hardships And Trials With Faith

by: John Park

We should unmistakably attend to God’s plan, give credence to God through faith and try not to disobey Him. Sounds simple right? OK, it can be a harsh life attending to God. God never assured us that life was going to be simple as ABC. All those that have denounced the world and overcame their enslavement to it, are the people that encounter quite a few tests and trials. Many will Trust God by faith.

Before we start a test or trial, we want to look for a definitive happening and so we need to get hold of all the input we need to obtain out of it as we make one’s way through it. Many times we neglect to do this, we happen to get distressed or become agitated. This is not how we get our strength, this disrupts us from progressing spiritually. We are deficient in faith and it divulges to God that we don’t rely on Him or that we are skeptical that He will accompany us through our troubled times.

A lot of people will experience many of the tests and trials and they won’t picture what’s taking place or should I say, “What they can profit from them.” Let me put it this way, when we are hit with a misfortune, what is it that we basically think about? We think about the harmful side to this problem and we are faced with going through the worry or fear of this handicap. Why do we have to add more pain for ourselves? It is saying that we lost our assurance in God. That is why we should always Trust God.

Nothing on earth snuffs out faith more rapidly than worries, fears and doubts. That is the one reason many do not learn to participate in or comprehend the truth about a lot of the sacred text that are contained within the Bible. Many can’t grow spiritually because they can’t let go of their fear. Many usually see a opposite result than the one God has planned for them.

There isn’t any measure of time set for these tests and trials, any one of them could only take as much as 15 minutes, as many may endure for more than six months. This is why it can be crucial for you to be awake. It’s best to be alert to what’s taking place and you don’t want to be too anxious to move right into your troubles.

You can learn so much from tests and trials, utilize them. They can be so energizing that there really isn’t any words you can find to explain about them as you glide through them relieved of worries, fears and doubts. You become so used to going through them and your faith is so potent that these three words do not exist as a crutch in your life.

Jesus wants us to, “Pick up our cross and follow Him.” Without a doubt, you can’t get to know Him if you can’t prove your trust in Him. You will either angle off to the left or toward the right. You will surely be wandering haphazardly inside yourself. People can’t show you the way back to God, but Jesus will, once you permit Him to and believe in Him. Just like you need to Trust God.

Photo of the Week: Work Smarter

One of my pet peeves is doing things that don’t make sense! So, I make it my business to find more effective and efficient ways to do tasks. On my job, I am considered an expert in performance management. I often ask, “Why work harder when we can work smarter?” If you’ve had the same question, I hope the tips above can help you.

Video of the Week: Timeshare Ownership

Branson, Missouri, doesn’t owe me anything! My family and I recently vacationed there, and we lived in one of the city’s best resorts. Our three-bedroom/four-bathroom condo, which overlooked a world-renowned golf course, was awesome! We were afforded this dream experience at Grand Crowne Resorts due to timeshare ownership.

Like most things, timeshare ownership has pros and cons. Timeshares offer all-inclusive home/family environments, provide a better stay than hotels in many instances, and the flexibility enables you to travel to different locations that you might not have chosen. However, many experts indicate that timeshares are poor investments due to resell limitations.

If you want to learn more about timeshares, watch the video below:

How to Hang in There

Do you feel like you’re Mufasa sometimes? Does it seem like there is always a Scar (pun intended) somewhere around? The closer you get to your goal, the more someone tries to kill your vibe! It may be a family member, a colleague, a friend, or someone else close to you. Well, I’ve learned that there is a reason for this!

Before God can do what He needs to do, He has to get us ready to RECEIVE what He has for us! It’s kind of like surgery! You go to a preparation room, where you have to shed some things. Sometimes it’s clothes, undergarments, and other unnecessary things. Each of these things could represent layers that need to be removed!

Financial difficulties could lead to better money management. Relationship problems could lead you to develop better relationships. Health problems could make you more determined to live a healthier lifestyle. Whatever the problems are, they often represent levels that God is going to take you. How do you hang in there despite life’s hardships?

First, you’ve got realize that you must go through the process or time of preparation. Next, you’ve just got to PUSH (pray until something happens) and WAIT (watch and in due time…)! If this sounds like the stages of pregnancy, that’s okay. You are expecting: You’re expecting a blessing! Hold on, wait right there, and your change is going to come! Hang in there!

Photo of the Week: Be Positive at Work

I love my job! Sure, there are some things that I’d like to improve. However, I don’t dread going to work every day like so many people! When I was teaching, I would find something to laugh at throughout the day. It also helped that I cared about my students, and I maintained a positive learning environment. As an administrator, I make a point of being a positive influence on others. If you are not enjoying your career or work environment, I hope these tips will help.

Video of the Week: How to Invest in Horses

Quit horsing around! That’s a command that most children would laugh at today. A long time ago, children did not want to hear that from their parents! We knew that a consequence was not only implied, but it was inevitable if the misbehavior did not stop. These days horsing around also describes an activity of someone who deals with horses.

I’m not referring to those who participate in rodeos, people purchase horses as pets for their children, or equestrianism. I’m talking about those who invest in horses. My brother has a horse ranch, and he has accumulated a stable of beauties! I’m interested in making an investment; so, I decided to learn more about horse ownership. You can too! Click the video.

Summer Saving Tips

by: Philbert Manalo

Summer time is one of the happiest seasons of the year. This is the perfect time to get a week of vacation from work, go to the beach and enjoy time with friends and family. As summer could mean happy times, it could also mean more expenses as you spend for family getaways and as electric bills go up due to more people staying in the house and using electric appliances. To help you save money during summer time, here are some helpful tips:

1. Turn off unnecessary household appliances

Be cautious on what appliances kids use. Turn of unnecessary appliances that might just add up to your bill. Turning off the air conditioning during a cold night is a one of the helpful things to practice.

2. Let the kids try a summer business

Instead of allowing your kids to just spend more of their money during summer, you can even teach them how to be thrifty and run a summer business. They can try setting up a Lemonade stand or have a garage sale of their old clothes and toys. This way, the kids learn to value money and spend little or just enough for their needs.

3. Save on groceries

Grocery shopping, combined with the money we spend “eating out,” makes up a huge portion of our monthly expenses. In order to save more money during summer, you must learn how to save money on your groceries. Choosing less expensive drinks, avoiding single-serving snacks and being realistic about the amount of food you need are some helpful ways to save you some bucks on your groceries.

4. Avoid credit cards

Using your credit card means borrowing money from the bank that issued the card. And since credit cards often have high spending limits, it encourages cardholders to spend more and more money based on their credit limit. This therefore leads to uncontrollable spending. It is more helpful then to use a prepaid debit card or a prepaid money card when making purchases as these types of cards have credit limits based on the amount of money that the cardholder has from their own bank account. This helps the cardholder think twice before spending as he knows the money will be deducted from his own savings account.

Saving money during the summer season does not mean though that you have to spoil your happy times with your family. With careful planning, budgeting and following these simple tips from reassessing your groceries to choosing prepaid debit cards over credit cards will surely help you save more money that you can use for your family’s future needs.

Photo of the Week: Facts of Life

How old were you when you learned the facts of life? When I was a kid, we had a lovely home, a luxury car, and nice clothes. Neither of those things made me proud to be a Stevenson, by far! My parents taught us about relying on God, loving our family, giving our best effort, and helping others. They taught us these things matter; everything else is a luxury.

Video of the Week: What is a Mutual Fund?

mutual funds vs stock

The Stock Market is intriguing! I have loved the idea of investing since I was in high school! During college, I was an officer in the Investment Club when we attempted the Stock Market Challenge. We didn’t win anything, but it was a fun. As an adult, I don’t want to take the risk. Mutual funds are like driving a family car; stocks are like driving a race car!

All fun is not good fun! I watched “The Wolf of Wall Street,” and I was amazed! Despite the lewdness and profanity, the movie reminded me of my investment goals. However, I have taken the safer route of investing: I have chosen mutual funds. The returns are not as great as stocks, but nor is the risk. Watch the video below to learn more about mutual funds:

4 Ways to Start a New Chapter

Soren Kierkegaard wrote, “Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forward.” I agree! The first half of the year has come and gone! I have grown in numerous ways, and I have made several changes. I could no longer be still! Some of the changes have been minor, but I can tell the difference that they have made.

I also made two major changes: I began a healthier lifestyle, and I completed my transition from relaxed hair to natural hair. I feel more freedom, bolder, and rejuvenated! Accomplishing these two long-term goals helps me to trust that I can achieve more of my goals. Furthermore, I feel that I have started a new chapter.

It has not been easy starting a new chapter, but it has been worth it! Like so many others, I kept saying that I wanted to change. Complaining and feigning a strong desire to change didn’t get the job done! I had to make a decision to work at completing daily tasks (like reading the first sentence of a book). Then, I had to stop shirking and be diligent.

Franz Kafka said, “By believing passionately in something that still does not exist, we create it. The nonexistent is whatever we have not sufficiently desired.” I had to realize that my life would not be transformed without strong convictions and sincere efforts. I am looking forward to the second half of this year, and I am expecting greater things! You can too.
